How clean is my smartphone?

Whatever you touch, your phone touches too.

We can’t help touching dirty things - door handles, money, gym equipment, and the list goes on.

However, we touch our phones we then pass the bacteria from our hands to our devices. And it’s easy to wash our hands, but we NEVER wash our phones, which is why the average smartphone shows 18x more bacteria than a public restroom.

Your phone’s battery keeps it warm, and when it’s stored in warm, dark places like your pocket or purse, the bacteria multiply.

What is UV-C light?

UV light has three wavelength categories: UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C.

UV-C light is a short-wavelength, ultraviolet light that breaks apart germ DNA, leaving it unable to function or reproduce.

In other words, UV-C light is germicidal (UV-A and UV-B light are not). UV-C can even neutralize “superbugs” that have developed a resistance to antibiotics.

How do SanniBoxes work?

Simply place your smartphone or belongings into your SanniBox and close the lid. During the sanitation process, a powerful UV-C light is emitted, eliminating 99.99% of household germs.

This UV-C light effectively destroys nucleic acids and breaks apart bacteria DNA. With their DNA broken, bacteria can’t function or reproduce, and the organisms die.

In nature, the UV-C light that causes this germicidal effect is harmful to our eyes but is blocked by Earth’s atmosphere. In the SanniBox’s controlled environment, UV-C light effectively and safely sanitizes your smartphone, as well as anything else that fits inside your SanniBox, like remotes, keys, tablets, and more.

Do SanniBoxes really work?

Do SanniBoxes kill COVID-19?

Only the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and those working to contain COVID-19 have access to this novel strain of coronavirus to test. Neither Sannify nor our SanniBoxes have been tested and therefore, we cannot claim that our products kill COVID-19.

That being said, we do know that coronavirus is an enveloped virus, similar to Influenza A (H1N1) which we have tested and know that our SanniBoxes kill at a 99.99% reduction rate.

Will my phone fit?

Our SanniBoxes fit the largest smartphones in the market, including the iPhone 11 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy Mega.

If you are still unsure, interior sizes for our SanniBoxes are available in the respective product descriptions.

Will SanniBox damage my phone or devices?

SanniBox is completely safe for your phone as it doesn't use heat, water or chemicals to sanitize your devices.

It uses UV-C light, which is completely safe for you and your gadgets. UV-C light can potentially cause damage with continuous, prolonged exposure to plastic. However, it would take many continuous hours of exposure to have this effect.

When you close the lid of the SanniBox, the UV-C lights will turn on for 3-6 minutes (depending on your model) and automatically shut off when done.

This is more than enough time to completely sanitize your phone and eliminate all the germs, but it is never enough time to damage your gadgets.

You can feel confident your phone and gadgets are safe inside, but the germs are not!

How long will the UV-C LED Lights last?

The UV-C LED Lights in our SanniBoxes are made to last a minimum of 6,000 hours. With proper care, they can last for over 10,000 hours.

If in an unfortunate scenario they fail to work before 6,000 hours of usage, please let us know by reaching out to us via Live Chat or by dropping us an email.

What other items can I sanitize?

Our SanniBoxes are able to sanitize anything you put inside them, including face masks, keys, makeup brushes, accessories, watches, jewelry, etc.
